Collection: POOL PUMPS
Choosing the right pool pump will ensure you enjoy a clean and inviting pool with low operating and maintenance costs as well as minimum inconveniences. In addition, the right pump will ensure all components in the filtration system operate correctly and last longer.
SINGLE SPEED POOL PUMPS
The single speed pump is traditionally the most commonly installed pump around the world.
It is just that- a pump that runs at one speed until you turn it off.
The upfront costs of a single speed pump are dramatically cheaper... than that of a variable speed pump.
Normally you can get a single speed pump for up to $1,000 cheaper than a similar sized variable speed pump.
Reliability:
Single speed thermoplastic pumps have been a proven, reliable form of pool filtration since 1975.
It is hard to beat the history of this work-horse.
VARIABLE SPEED POOL PUMPS
While the variable speed pumps have only been out for a few years now,
they typically outclass both single and double speed pumps.
These pumps are generally made with permanent electric magnet motors
allowing them the capability to operate at... any number of speeds within their range.
This capability is provided through the attachment of a variable speed drive controller and
allows the pump owner to customise the programming of speed and flow for different applications of use.
Because variable speed pumps offer a much wider array of settings, they allow you to run your pool at
optimum speed or the lowest speed to get the job done.
This, in turn, creates less friction on your piping, filter, and accessories
allowing your pool to run at a much lower energy level,
resulting in less wear and tear, saving you money and increasing the lifespan of your equipment.
This type of customisation also allows you to program your pump to take advantage of lower rates
through your electricity company when you are on off peak hours.
*Noticeably quieter than traditional pumps, especially in a home with a smaller space
*Advanced motor technology: totally enclosed fan cooled (TEFC) design
provides added reliability compared to standard pool pump motors
*Allows for better and more effective pool filtration through slower water filtration rates
