Installation One-off Service Terms

Installations & One-Off Pool Services — Terms & Conditions‍

Pools Australia trading as WA Pool Warehouse · ABN 18 690 811 619 · November 2026

1. ABOUT THESE TERMS

‍‍These Terms and Conditions apply to bookings and purchases for:

  • Pool equipment installations and upgrades.
  • One-off call-outs, inspections and fault assessments.
  • Green pool treatment and recovery services.
  • One-off pool cleaning, maintenance and servicing.
  • Additional labour, chemicals, parts and products supplied in connection with these services.
  • Your quotation, online order or booking confirmation will identify the services or products purchased, the applicable charges and any specific conditions.
  • These are individual bookings. A booking does not create an ongoing subscription, minimum service commitment or automatic renewal.
  • These terms should be read alongside our general website Terms and Conditions. Where these terms specifically address an installation or one-off service, they take precedence over the general terms to the extent of any inconsistency.
  • Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including those under Australian Consumer Law.

2. BOOKINGS & ONLINE ORDERS
Bookings may be requested online, through a WA Pool Warehouse store or through our customer service team.
Customers must provide accurate contact details, service address, pool information, equipment details and access instructions.
Online appointment requests and preferred dates are subject to technician availability, service area, equipment availability and confirmation by WA Pool Warehouse.
An order acknowledgement confirms receipt of your request. Your appointment is confirmed when we issue a booking confirmation.
If we cannot fulfil your requested booking, we will offer an alternative or refund amounts paid for services or products we cannot supply.
The person making the booking must be authorised to approve the work and, where applicable, obtain the property owner’s permission.

3. QUOTATIONS, PRICES & SERVICE SCOPE
Prices are inclusive of GST unless expressly stated otherwise.
Installation quotations are valid for seven days from issue, unless a different validity period is stated.
Your quotation, checkout or booking confirmation will identify, as applicable:
The equipment, products or services included.
The labour or appointment allowance.
Any booking or call-out fee.
Whether chemicals are included or charged separately.
Travel charges.
Any agreed exclusions.
The payment amount and due date.
A quotation is based on the information provided and any inspection undertaken. An estimate is an indication of likely cost rather than a fixed price and will be identified as an estimate.
If site conditions or service requirements differ materially from those disclosed, we will explain any proposed variation and seek approval before undertaking additional chargeable work.
Customers are under no obligation to approve additional work. If a variation is declined, we will explain what can safely be completed within the original scope and any applicable adjustment.

4. BOOKING FEES & ADVANCE PAYMENTS
All installations and one-off pool services, including Green Pool Treatment, call-outs and one-off cleaning, must be prepaid in full at the disclosed service price before a booking is confirmed, unless WA Pool Warehouse expressly agrees otherwise in writing. Any separately assessed chemicals, parts or additional work are charged in accordance with Sections 7, 9 and 13.
Before payment, we will disclose:
The amount payable.
What the booking fee covers.
Whether it is credited towards the final service price or charged separately.
The applicable cancellation and refund conditions.
A booking fee is payable only where disclosed and accepted before the booking is confirmed. It will not be added retrospectively.
Installation equipment and installation charges must be paid in full before the booking is confirmed, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
For all other one-off services, including Green Pool Treatment, full payment of the disclosed base service charge is required before booking confirmation. An appointment request is not a confirmed booking until the required payment is received and WA Pool Warehouse issues confirmation.
Prepayment of the service charge does not include chemicals, additional labour, repairs or replacement parts unless expressly stated. Chemical requirements and quantities may only be established following onsite water testing and assessment.
Cancellation and refund arrangements are set out in Section 12.

5. ONE-OFF CALL-OUTS & FAULT ASSESSMENTS
A call-out covers attendance and the inspection, assessment or labour described in your booking confirmation, within the stated time allowance.
A call-out fee is separate from a booking fee unless your booking confirmation states otherwise. Any applicable fees will be disclosed before you accept the booking.
A call-out does not guarantee that:
A fault can be identified during the initial visit.
Equipment can be repaired during the appointment.
Replacement parts will be immediately available.
A repair will be economical or technically feasible.
The agreed call-out charge remains payable where we attend and perform the agreed assessment with due care and skill, even if a repair cannot be completed during that visit. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
Additional diagnostic work, labour, parts, repairs or return visits will be quoted or priced for approval before proceeding.
Routine equipment observations are not comprehensive mechanical, electrical or structural inspections. Specialist work may require a suitably qualified or licensed contractor.

6.ONE-OFF POOL SERVICING
A one-off pool service includes only the activities described in the selected service or booking confirmation.
Depending on the service purchased, these may include water testing, chemical balancing, surface scooping, vacuuming, basket emptying, step brushing, filter maintenance and general equipment observations.
The appointment allowance and any additional labour rate will be disclosed before booking.
If the pool’s condition requires more work than the selected service includes, our technician will explain the requirements and seek approval for additional charges.
A one-off service does not include subsequent visits or ongoing maintenance unless expressly agreed.
Customers remain responsible for monitoring and maintaining their pool after the appointment, including water level, filtration, circulation and any treatment instructions provided.

7.GREEN POOL TREATMENT & RECOVERY
7.1 Package inclusions and limits
The standard Green Pool Treatment package is $499 including GST, plus chemicals charged separately. It includes up to three (3) total hours of technician labour, delivered across no more than three (3) visits. The package is a defined labour and treatment allowance, not a guarantee that the pool will be completely clear or suitable for swimming within that allowance.
Treatment activities are determined by water testing, the condition of the pool and the agreed scope. The extent of algae, leaves, sediment, debris, organic matter, contamination and equipment performance may affect the number of treatments needed.
Any additional visits or labour beyond the included allowance, including additional time required due to severe contamination, will be quoted and require customer approval before proceeding. Where agreed, additional labour is charged at $75 per 30 minutes. Chemicals and any separately approved parts or services are additional.
Green Pool chemical assessment, invoices and follow-up visits
The $499 Green Pool Treatment charge must be prepaid before the booking is confirmed. Chemicals are not included. The technician will conduct onsite water testing and assess the pool condition to determine suitable treatment products and dosages. Chemical quantities and charges cannot be fixed in advance and may vary between visits.
By accepting and prepaying for Green Pool Treatment, the customer authorises WA Pool Warehouse to administer the chemicals reasonably necessary for the agreed treatment, as determined by onsite water testing and assessment, without obtaining separate approval for each chemical or dosage. The products and quantities actually used will be itemised and invoiced separately after each visit. Any chemical spending limit expressly agreed before treatment will be observed; approval will be sought before exceeding that limit.
Follow-up visits included in the Green Pool Treatment package will not proceed while a chemical or treatment invoice from an earlier visit is overdue. WA Pool Warehouse will notify the customer and offer an opportunity to pay or resolve a genuine billing dispute before postponing a visit. Where a follow-up is scheduled before an earlier invoice becomes due, WA Pool Warehouse may request early settlement but will not treat that invoice as overdue before its stated due date. Any postponement will be rescheduled reasonably after payment or resolution, subject to technician availability and applicable consumer rights.

7.2 Existing equipment and infrastructure only
WA Pool Warehouse will perform Green Pool Treatment using only the pool equipment and infrastructure already installed and available at the service property. This includes the existing pump, filter, chlorinator, plumbing, valves, suction connections and waste-discharge facilities where applicable.
No external or temporary service pumps, portable filters, replacement chlorinators or supplementary filtration equipment are provided as part of the package. The customer must ensure existing equipment is accessible, operational and suitable for the proposed work.
If equipment is unsafe, defective or unsuitable, the technician may suspend or limit the work and explain the available options. Repairs, upgrades and replacement equipment are excluded unless separately quoted and approved.

IMPORTANT — CUSTOMER WASTEWATER DISPOSAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

  • ‍‍The customer must identify, verify and direct the technician to a lawful, safe and suitable wastewater discharge location BEFORE vacuuming to waste begins.
  • The customer must check relevant local council, Water Corporation and other authority requirements and obtain any necessary approvals. Lawn or garden discharge may damage plants; stormwater or street discharge may be restricted or prohibited; sewer discharge must be approved.
  • The customer accepts responsibility, to the extent permitted by law, for an unsuitable discharge point or incorrect directions they provide, including resulting third-party damage or regulatory consequences. This does not exclude WA Pool Warehouse's liability for its own negligence, unlawful actions or non-excludable consumer rights.
  • The customer must replenish the pool water after the first visit and after EACH subsequent visit, maintaining sufficient water for safe pump and filtration operation.
  • The $499 package includes up to THREE HOURS across a maximum of THREE VISITS, plus separately charged chemicals. Further work is quoted for approval.

7.3 Vacuuming to waste and disposal instructions
Vacuuming to waste may discharge substantial volumes of pool water containing salt, chlorine, treatment chemicals, algae and organic debris. Before discharge begins, the customer must identify, verify and direct the technician to an appropriate discharge point and obtain any permissions or approvals required by the relevant local council, Water Corporation or other authority.
Potential discharge routes depend on water chemistry and applicable requirements: (a) lawns or non-sensitive garden areas only where permitted and where discharge will not cause damage or runoff; (b) stormwater drains and street gutters must not be used unless expressly permitted, as restrictions may apply to chemically treated or saline pool water; and (c) an approved sewer-connected discharge point only where authorised and suitable for the volume and composition of the water.
The customer must not direct discharge onto neighbouring property or into unsuitable drainage infrastructure. The technician may refuse or stop discharge where a location appears unsafe, unlawful or likely to cause damage. The customer is responsible, to the extent permitted by law, for consequences caused by inaccurate information or an unsuitable discharge location they nominate. This does not exclude WA Pool Warehouse's responsibility for its own acts, omissions, negligence or non-excludable legal obligations.

7.4 Water levels and refilling between visits
Vacuuming to waste can rapidly lower the pool water level. Insufficient water may cause the pump to draw air, lose prime, overheat or sustain damage. The technician must take reasonable care when operating the equipment and may stop vacuuming where water levels become unsafe.
The customer must provide access to a suitable water supply and is responsible for topping up the pool to the correct operating level after the first treatment visit and after every subsequent visit, and before the next treatment stage. The customer should follow the technician's directions regarding when refilling is required; water may need to be replenished during or immediately after vacuuming.
Failure to restore sufficient water may prevent effective filtration and treatment, delay the next visit or require separately approved additional work.

7.5 Chemical waste and treatment outcomes
The service does not include collection or disposal of unused chemicals, concentrated chemical products or hazardous residues. These require an appropriate approved disposal method, such as an eligible household hazardous waste collection program. Customers must disclose recent chemical treatments or known hazards.
Recovery time and results depend on pool conditions, existing equipment, weather, filtration, water levels and customer compliance with treatment instructions. Customers must follow swimming restrictions and operating instructions. A pool that appears clearer is not necessarily safe for swimming.
Unless separately agreed, the package excludes black spot algae treatment, stain removal, acid washing, draining and refilling, structural repairs and equipment replacement. Nothing in this section limits Australian Consumer Law rights or the obligation to provide services with due care and skill.
‍

8. EQUIPMENT INSTALLATIONS & ASSOCIATED PRODUCTS
Installation services apply to the equipment and work specified in the accepted quotation.
The quotation will identify relevant inclusions and exclusions, which may include removal of existing equipment, disposal, plumbing alterations, electrical connections, commissioning and customer instruction.
Customers must disclose known equipment faults, leaks, unusual site conditions and access restrictions before installation.
Unless included in the quotation, installation does not cover:
Repairs to existing plumbing or equipment.
New electrical circuits, power points or switchboard work.
Excavation, structural alterations or landscaping.
Repairs to pool surfaces or surrounding property.
Removal of concealed obstructions.
Specialist permits or approvals.
Work requiring a licence will be undertaken by an appropriately licensed person or referred for separate arrangement.
If concealed defects, incompatible connections or unsafe conditions are identified, work may be paused while we discuss a revised scope and price with you.
Where customers select or supply equipment, we may assess its suitability and decline installation if it cannot be installed safely or is incompatible with the existing system.
We remain responsible for our installation work and any advice we provide, subject to applicable law.

9.0 CHEMICALS, PARTS & ADDITIONAL WORK
Chemicals, replacement parts and additional products are charged separately unless expressly included in the quotation or service description. The precise chemicals and dosages required for Green Pool Treatment or other one-off services are determined after onsite water testing and assessment of the pool condition, contamination and equipment. The base service prepayment does not cover those additional charges.
By accepting and prepaying for a service that includes chemical treatment, the customer authorises the use and separate invoicing of chemicals reasonably required to perform that agreed treatment, as assessed onsite. Separate approval is not required for each chemical or dosage within the agreed treatment scope. We will seek approval before supplying unrelated products, replacement parts or undertaking additional labour or work outside that scope.
Approval for additional work outside the agreed treatment scope may be recorded through the online booking, an accepted quotation, email, SMS or a documented conversation.
Any expressly agreed chemical spending limit will be respected; if further treatment would exceed that limit, we will seek additional approval before proceeding.
If approval for work outside the agreed scope cannot be obtained, that additional work may be deferred or limited where safe and appropriate. Outstanding recommendations will be recorded in the service report.
For safety, compatibility and treatment consistency, our technicians administer only WA Pool Warehouse-approved chemicals supplied by us. Customer-supplied or third-party chemicals will not be administered.
Customers must disclose chemicals or treatments recently added to the pool.

10. SERVICE AREAS, TRAVEL & APPOINTMENT TIMES
Bookings are subject to our applicable service areas.
Any additional travel charge will be disclosed and agreed before the booking is confirmed.
Appointments are generally allocated to a morning or afternoon window. Exact arrival times are not guaranteed unless expressly agreed.
An arrival notification will generally be provided approximately 30 minutes before attendance, where practicable.
Traffic, earlier appointments, weather, technician availability and equipment issues may affect scheduling. Where changes are necessary, we will notify you as soon as practicable and arrange a suitable alternative.
If we cannot provide the agreed service within an agreed or reasonable timeframe, your applicable cancellation and refund rights remain available.

11.ACCESS, PROPERTY CONDITIONS & SAFETY
Customers must:
Provide safe and reasonable access to the pool and equipment.
Unlock gates or provide suitable access instructions.
Secure pets away from the work area.
Keep children and other persons clear of the work area.
Ensure electricity and water are available where required.
Maintain an appropriate pool water level.
Disclose known hazards, equipment faults and relevant property conditions.
Obtain any necessary property-owner permission.
Customers do not need to remain onsite unless required for the particular booking or agreed in advance.
We may pause or postpone work where there is an unreasonable safety risk, including unsafe electrical equipment, hazardous chemicals, aggressive animals, severe weather, unsafe access or threatening behaviour.
Our technician will explain the issue and discuss the next steps where practicable.
Customers must follow treatment and safety instructions, including any restriction on swimming or operating equipment.‍

12. CANCELLATIONS, RESCHEDULING & MISSED APPOINTMENTS

12.1 Customer Requests
Please contact your managing WA Pool Warehouse store as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. Where possible, we request at least 24 hours’ notice.
Any cancellation, rescheduling or missed appointment charge must have been disclosed and accepted before booking.
A charge may apply where late cancellation or customer-controlled access issues cause reasonable costs or losses. Any such charge will be proportionate to those costs or losses, taking account of costs saved and any replacement booking.
We will not charge twice for the same loss through both a retained booking fee and a separate cancellation charge.

12.2 Advance Payments & Ordered Products
If a booking is cancelled, amounts paid will be refunded after deducting any properly disclosed, reasonable and lawful cancellation amount.
Where equipment or special-order products have already been purchased for your booking, we will explain the available return, supply or cancellation options and any reasonable, disclosed costs.
A special-order designation does not remove statutory rights relating to faulty, unsuitable or incorrectly supplied products.

12.3 Changes by WA Pool Warehouse
If we cancel or cannot provide the agreed service, we will offer a suitable alternative or refund amounts paid for services or products not supplied, as applicable.
No missed appointment fee applies where non-attendance or inability to complete the service is caused by WA Pool Warehouse.
We will consider circumstances outside the customer’s reasonable control when assessing a cancellation or missed appointment.
Nothing in this section limits statutory cancellation or refund rights.

13.INVOICES & PAYMENT
The booking confirmation or invoice will state the payment due date and available payment methods.
Chemicals administered as part of the agreed Green Pool Treatment or other one-off service will be itemised and invoiced separately following the relevant visit. Payment is requested within 24 hours of invoice issue and is contractually due within seven (7) calendar days of issue. Approved parts or additional labour will be invoiced on the agreed terms.
Where WA Pool Warehouse agrees to issue an invoice after completion, payment is due within seven (7) calendar days of issue unless a different period is expressly agreed in writing. Each invoice will state its due date.
Payment for an individual online order covers the amount shown for that order. Acceptance of a chemical-treatment service also authorises the separately invoiced chemicals reasonably required within the agreed treatment scope, as described in Section 9. Unrelated products and work outside that scope require separate approval.
An itemised invoice or receipt will be provided for services and products supplied.
Please contact us promptly if you believe an invoice is incorrect or wish to discuss payment difficulties.
For overdue accounts, we may seek payment and, after reasonable notice, suspend further bookings or pursue lawful recovery. Recovery costs will only be charged where legally recoverable.

14. SERVICE REPORTS & CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
Where applicable, customers will receive a service report recording work completed, water test results, chemicals supplied, equipment observations and recommendations.
Customers remain responsible for ongoing pool care following the appointment, including:
Appropriate water level.
Recommended filtration and circulation.
Following maintenance and safety instructions.
Monitoring changing water conditions.
Reporting leaks and equipment faults.
Maintaining pool fencing and gates in accordance with applicable requirements.
Pool conditions can change after treatment because of weather, usage, contamination, equipment performance and subsequent chemical additions.
A completed service does not guarantee that water will remain clear, balanced or suitable for swimming indefinitely.

15.PRODUCT WARRANTIES & SERVICE CONCERNS
Products supplied may include a manufacturer’s warranty. Any manufacturer’s warranty is additional to rights available under Australian Consumer Law.
Please contact WA Pool Warehouse if you have concerns about a product supplied or installation performed by us. We will assess the concern and assist with an appropriate remedy.
You are not required to rely solely on a manufacturer’s warranty process to exercise statutory rights against us.
We will investigate concerns about workmanship, service quality or treatment and provide remedies where required by law.
Please report concerns as soon as reasonably practicable so we can review relevant records and conditions. Reporting promptly assists investigation but does not remove statutory rights.

16. PROPERTY DAMAGE, EQUIPMENT CONDITION & LIABILITY
WA Pool Warehouse will exercise reasonable care and skill when providing services and handling equipment, chemicals and customer property.
Pools and equipment may have pre-existing faults, corrosion, brittle components, worn seals, deteriorated plumbing, surface defects or other conditions that are not apparent during routine attendance.
Subject to applicable law, we are not responsible for loss or damage to the extent it is caused by pre-existing defects, ordinary deterioration, customer misuse, third-party work or circumstances outside our reasonable control, and is not caused or contributed to by our negligence, breach of contract or failure to meet consumer guarantees.
This may include:
An ageing component failing during normal operation because of an underlying defect.
Existing staining, scaling or deterioration of pool surfaces.
Water conditions affected by faulty filtration or treatments applied by others.
Damage caused by storms, flooding or power outages.
Problems caused by failure to follow reasonable operating or safety instructions.
Where we identify an apparent defect or safety concern, we will notify you and record it where appropriate. Identifying an existing fault does not itself make us responsible for its repair.
These provisions do not exclude responsibility for damage caused by our work, incorrect chemical application, negligence or failure to exercise due care and skill.
Please report suspected service-related damage promptly. We will investigate and, where appropriate, refer the matter to our insurer. Our obligations to customers are not conditional on an insurer accepting a claim.

17.PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE
WA Pool Warehouse maintains public liability insurance for its business operations, including the installation and one-off pool services covered by these terms, subject to the applicable policy’s terms, limits, conditions and exclusions.
Insurance does not mean that every incident or claim is covered.
Nothing in this section limits our legal responsibilities or the customer’s statutory rights.

18. PHOTOGRAPHS, RECORDS & PRIVACY
Technicians may photograph the pool, equipment and relevant work areas for service purposes, including documenting existing conditions, completed work, faults and recommendations.
Customer information will be handled in accordance with our applicable Privacy Policy and Australian privacy requirements.
Photographs identifying a customer’s property will not be used for promotional purposes without appropriate consent.
Service-related communications may be sent by email, SMS or telephone. Marketing communications will be managed separately under applicable consent requirements.

19. AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW
Our products and services come with consumer guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Nothing in these terms limits any applicable right to a repair, replacement, refund, cancellation, repeat service or compensation.
Manufacturer’s warranties, booking conditions and liability provisions operate subject to those rights.
WA Pool Warehouse remains responsible for its negligence, breach of contract and failure to comply with applicable consumer guarantees.

20. GENERAL CONDITIONS
These terms, together with your accepted quotation, online order, booking confirmation and agreed written variations, form the agreement for the particular booking.
These terms, together with the accepted quotation, booking confirmation and any agreed written variations, define the scope of the booking. The customer’s acceptance of a chemical-treatment service includes authorisation for reasonably necessary treatment chemicals to be separately invoiced as described in Sections 7 and 9. Changes outside that agreed scope, including additional labour, repairs or equipment, require customer approval. Later website updates do not retrospectively change an accepted booking.
These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia and applicable Commonwealth legislation.
Nothing in this agreement excludes representations or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
For booking changes, complaints or service enquiries, contact your managing WA Pool Warehouse store using the contact details provided in your booking confirmation.

21. CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE & BOOKING CONFIRMATION
Customers may accept these terms by signing a copy supplied with their booking or by sending an affirmative email reply as described below. A website visit alone does not constitute acceptance.
I confirm that I have read, understood and agree to these Terms and Conditions, including the prepayment requirements, separate chemical charges and applicable Green Pool Treatment conditions.
Acceptance by Email Reply
Instead of signing above, you may accept these Terms and Conditions by replying to the email in which they were provided, from your own email address, with the following statement:
“I have read and accept the WA Pool Warehouse Installations & One-Off Pool Services Terms and Conditions, including the prepayment requirements, separate chemical charges and, where applicable, the Green Pool Treatment and wastewater disposal conditions. I authorise the agreed service to proceed.”
Please include your full name and service address or booking reference in your reply. WA Pool Warehouse will retain your email response as a record of acceptance. A handwritten signature is not required where an identifiable email acceptance is received. The service booking will only be confirmed once the required prepayment and acceptance have been received.
